If you workout you will need more calories on workout days. Every meal should be different in terms of calories. This is determined by which times of the day you’re more sedentary and which times you’re more active.
Proteins – 4 Cal/Gram
Carbs – 4 Cal/Gram
Fats – 9 Cal/Gram
Your body needs to work with specific ratios for your macronutrients. These ratios may be different every meal but need to add up to a specified ration at the end of the day.
Everybody’s body will react differently to nutrition. Some people are insulin sensitive, or opposite, gluten sensitive, estrogen sensitive, etc. There are many factors to consider. This is why the sources will be so very important.
The time of day you eat certain foods will also effect for results, depending on your body, lifestyle, and time of day you may workout. If you workout we also now have to consider pre and post workout meals.
